Life Is Better In Flip Flops

Growing up in Michigan made wearing flip flops impossible for most of the year. I do remember the joyful feeling of digging out my flip flops each year at that first wonderful hint of spring and the smell of possibility was in the air.

After moving to Florida 10 years ago, I’ve added more flip flops to my wardrobe than even I could have thought possible. They were mostly frowned upon at the office but you could expect to find at least one – if not two – pair of flip flips under any desk I’ve worked at over the years.

I’ve always enjoyed administrative work – Excel spreadsheets/Google Sheets are my friends. I enjoy making “to do” lists – and take satisfaction from a job well done while checking items off. There’s something ridiculously satisfying about having an empty “in box” after each email has been addressed and organized in the appropriate folder. I love doing online research – anything from competitive analysis to getting the best value for the best price.

While I was recovering from surgery, my friend Niki contacted me to do administrative work virtually for a marketing company. That was when I realized I could combine my passion for assisting business owners with my love of comfy clothes and flip flops.
